“Based on the findings of the consumer protection procedure, conducted on the basis of the request of P. Gy. (home address: …) (Client) received and filed on 2 February 2024, at VIG Befektetési Alapkezelő Magyarország Zrt. (registered office: 1091 Budapest, Üllői út 1.) (Institution), the National Bank of Hungary (registered office: 1013 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 55., site office: 1122 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 6.) (MNB) has adopted the following r e s o l u t i o n:
1. The MNB calls on the Institution to comply at all times with the legal requirement to respond to consumer complaints in a timely manner.
2. The MNB hereby orders the Institution to send to the Client its opinion, with reasons indicated, on the Client’s complaints submitted on 19 July 2023, 3 August 2023 and 12 October 2023, and within 30 days of receipt of this Resolution to inform the MNB of the fact that the reply was sent by providing a copy of the reply and of the document proving that it had been sent.
3. The MNB hereby imposes a consumer protection fine of HUF 500,000, i.e. five hundred thousand forints, on the Institution for breaching the legal provisions on the timely response to consumer complaints.
